From the end of the 1960s, Ricardo Mosner exhibited and organized performances and happenings.
Between 1970 and 1980, he created and played around twenty pictorial shows with his troupe Teatr’en Poudre. He worked as an actor with Copi, Jérôme Savary, Stephen Frears in particular. During the 1980s, he designed the covers for the records of successive groups of Theo Hakola (Red Orchestra and Passion Fodder). Five years later, he made the poster for the title Marcia Baïla by Rita Mitsouko when the clip was released.
In 1985, he won the competition to replace the original painting of one of the pillars of the restaurant La Coupole, damaged by water infiltration, following the customers’ vote.
For Mission 2000, he created the posters, floats, masks and costumes for “La Carnavalcade” in Saint-Denis.
In 2012 he designed the poster, set and costumes for the show Ubu at the Café de la Gare by Patrice Minet based on the work of Alfred Jarry.
For radio, Mosner wrote and starred in soap operas (Radio Nova and France Culture). He is, along with Gérard Mordillat, Henri Cueco, Jacques Juillet, Hervé Le Tellier, Lucas Fournier and many others, one of the “papous” of the France Culture program Des Papous dans la tête, founded by Bertrand Jérôme and moderated by Françoise Treussard. The Anthology and the Dictionary of this issue have been published by Éditions Gallimard with texts, drawings and covers by Mosner.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions including “Latin America at the Grand Palais” and the “Ateliers de l’ARC” at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris in 1984, the Paris Biennale and the “Painted Walls of the Center Georges-Pompidou in 1985, the Triennale of the Americas in 1993, the Biennial of sculpture in the Netherlands in 1994, etc., and presented 140 personal exhibitions in France and abroad.
He also practices his art in the field of posters and publishing.
He organizes the exhibitions of the group “El Colectivo” and he was the artistic director of the literary magazine Tango.
